Return of Hitler

A European film production company in Germany is shooting Look Who’s Back,  a movie adaptation of Timur Vermes’ bestselling novel that imagines the return of Adolf Hitler.

The book published in more than 40 countries has sold 2 million copies in Germany alone.

The film is replicating the Borat model (a  mockumentary that among other things mocks the Polish language), thrusting its notorious central character played by unknown German actor Oliver Masucci into unsuspecting real-life situations in Germany.

Nazi symbols have long been outlawed in Germany, however, according to the newspaper Berliner Morgenpost, authorities say they have no cause to act against Masucci or the producers.
