Ruth Provencal age 67, is a nice little old lady in Derry, New Hampshire. She was canned as an election volunteer because she would say, "Thank you for voting, God Bless you."
The election officials said the phrase could influence a person's vote.
That's a crazy argument since Ruth uttered those words after the person she was addressing finished with their ballot and were leaving the premises.
The Catholic Action League is protesting the decision to fire her. Being a devout Catholic
Ruth says its her favorite phrase when saying goodbye. Maybe she will be forced to remove U.S. coinage from her purse since it has the motto "In God We Trust" stamped on it.
